Things To Do...

We all have those days. There's so much to do that we don't even want to begin. It's the perfect day to pull out this list and start at the top! Or choose the suggestions that appeal to you and enjoy them one at a time, in no particular order. And most importantly, forgive yourself for taking some time out.

  1. Put on a baggy sweatshirt, your favorite slippers and the play the album (or CD) you listened to over and over again when you were 17 years old. Enjoy the memories it stirs up.

  2. Take a luxurious bubble bath, right smack dab in the middle of the day.

  3. Call someone you haven't spoken to in more than 5 years.

  4. Spend the afternoon in a park. Feed the birds, watch clouds, sit on a blanket under the shade of a big tree and read something fun.

  5. Take yourself to a movie.

  6. Begin to learn a foreign language.

  7. Listen to a new radio station.

  8. Play a musical instrument, even if you don't know how. Just noodle. Sing along to your own music.

  9. Make someone smile for no particular reason.

  10. Start a journal. Write how it feels to be you today.

  11. Make a list of all the things you like to do, start at the top and DO them.

  12. Try on a pair of cowboy boots.

  13. Bake something.

  14. Go to a local art exhibit.

  15. Discover something about yourself.

  16. Inhale spring or autumn or winter or summer. Each season has its own perfume.

  17. Re-read a book that you loved when you were a teenager and see if it still touches you.

  18. Volunteer.

  19. Invent a recipe.

  20. Stop waiting. Be in this moment. Look, listen, breathe.
